Connecting your learning to your life

myStudy is an additional complementary hour of daily study for all General English daytime students. After your main classes finish, you can choose which myStudy elective you would like to attend from 1pm to 2pm. myStudy is a mix of supervised and taught studies led by an English teacher who can help you with your individual learning goals and teach you study skills so you are able to learn independently, both during and after your course ends.

Why should you do myStudy?

You and your classmates are all studying English, but you are all different. You have different learning needs, priorities and interests.

myStudy is all about you. It is a place where you can take control of your learning and focus on what you need (or want) to practise. In addition to practising reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills, you can study grammar, vocabulary and also work on your pronunciation.

Some of the benefits of myStudy are:

In class, everybody does the same thing at the same time. In myStudy, you can focus on your individual priorities: weak areas, things you are interested in, or things you especially need.
When you take control of your learning, your English skills improve faster. myStudy gives you this opportunity.
myStudy is 100 percent flexible. You can do whatever you choose each day.

You can also make one-to-one appointments with your teacher during the myStudy hour. They will help you with your course progress, give you individual study advice and help you choose the best myStudy electives for your learning needs.

These are some examples. A new myStudy timetable for your school is published each month. It will change regularly, depending on you and your classmates’ needs and interests – so your learning is always focused on you.

In addition to the face-to-face myStudy electives, if you are a Navitas English student studying any of our courses, you can study a range of learning activities using our online program, ClarityEnglish*.

You can do this at anytime, anywhere and on any device, including your mobile phone.
